The Architecture View represents a project with elements as icons (such as teams, products, phases, and activities) and relationships amongst the elements as lines (such as breakdown structures, contracts and dependencies.)
The project element icons and relationship lines can be shown or hidden in various combinations to quickly emphasis different aspects of the project's architecture.
In the Architecture view the project can be sketched according to the layout style preferences of the project designers and also viewed based on automatic layout from PBS, WBS, and OBS points of view. By zooming out, project designers can see a total architectural and flow similar to a network diagram, or zoom in to focus on specific elements and relationships.
The Architecture view supports four ways to view the model, all of which can be seen by all users:
